Just remember that you have nothing to prove. You don't need to make decisions just to establish that you're free, though you may be inclined to do just that. I suggest that you resist the temptation. Decision is too precious a privilege to squander on proving anything at all. Besides which, the most meaningful challenges and pressing decisions will tend to arrive at the end of the year, and you will want to keep your options open until then. If there's a trick to preserving your ability to choose without being noncommittal, I think you'll find it. At this time in your life, you're blessed with a measure of infinite creativity. Any astrologer with a shred of intelligence takes his hat off and bows humbly to all people, things and ideas Scorpio. To do so is nothing more or less than to honor the biological process and the cycles of existence that are at the core of physical life. Scorpio and the associated 8th house are the central computers through which 21st century reality is processed. Issues of life, death, power, relationships, control and vast, secret worlds of which most people are scarcely aware are all symbolized and encoded in your sign. As one who is born with the Sun aligned with Scorpio, you are endowed with a greater-than-average involvement with, and awareness of, these processes. You see and feel them moving in ways that are invisible to many. You are a catalyst for change; you are one who can reach into yourself and manifest something from (seemingly) nothing. Let any involvement with your family remind you of your roots in the distant past of humanity; you are the son or daughter of an untold number of generations, born of ancestors whose names and stories you will never know. Chiron reaches the 4th solar house, and gradually makes a transition to long-term residence there. This relates to a developing family matter, potentially on your father's side or involving a grandfather, that will require your personal leadership and also a break from the past -- perhaps even the distant past. Take this one step at a time. The next wave of awareness is calling you to look upward and outward at the future, but also at what you are manifesting right now. In a way that will probably feel seamless at the time, the questions you ask at the beginning of the year will give way to the missions you take on -- particularly your drive for manifesting worldly success. In times of aspiring to great achievement, I believe it's a good idea to feel a little insecure. The opposite of what you want would be the amoral cocaine-like high on which corporate America thrives. Keep your pride in a little jar. Do what you must, but remember that your decisions affect people, many people, and that you have a responsibility to think of them. You have enough power and strength of will that you can afford to share those things. Be conscious of any desire to run the whole show; such a psychic posture would deny you the creative potential of the community that it is your primary responsibility to encourage. You can do so because your sense of individuality is so strong. Anyone who is truly an individual seeks only to encourage others to find their true selves, and to bring out their authentic sense of self. If you are interested in gaining true mastery over your affairs and setting your world right, I would propose that this is the most efficient and spiritually clear path to take. In so many respects, ideas about group consciousness, extended family, and the security that can only be found in community are the top themes for the year. What you provide is a kind of central awareness, as well as the reminder to the people around you that the universe is an abundant place. You have it in you to see, feel and experience the world with the clarity, adventure and purity of a child, which are rare qualities to find in an adult, particularly one as worldly as you are. No matter what you strive to achieve in the material world, this sense of adventure and creativity are your real charm; they are what attracts people to you and makes you such a compelling person to work with, work for, or be involved with. I know, these are not the ordinary Scorpio traits you'll read about in most books, but they are what you have going on now and for the foreseeable future. It has become clear that much of what you called 'relationship problems' during the past few years actually involved situations in the life of a partner, which have finally begun to come out now that they are being resolved. Perhaps you should have known, but we are talking about a deep situation that everyone would rather have not been so, in a world where hope springs eternal. If you are going to accomplish one thing this year, it will be to go from a hope-based framework to a faith-based one. As you will see, the difference is far from subtle. Count on the people you are now close to getting much closer. Not everyone in this life gets to experience the pleasure of hand-in-glove relationships; fewer still appreciate them for what they are. Think of the bonding that forms between trapeze artists, actors or technicians working on a complex project for years. Personal differences set themselves aside; it's understood that the project will rise or fall on cooperation. This quality can define your most intimate relationships. You will learn to trust people this year, but the really beautiful thing is that you'll learn to trust yourself like you never have before. There is no telling at the beginning of this adventure the form that things will take at the end; this is for you to decide in those moments when life truly matters the very most.
