2005 Planet Waves Annual for Piscesby Eric Francis
YOU ARE NO LONGER the Sorcerer's Apprentice; you are the Sorcerer. You may or may not feel ready to possess the powers of invention, conjuring, or the privilege of liberation, but whether you use these for good or for ill, they have been bestowed upon you. Thus, the ways you functioned in years past will no longer work, and may at times prove dangerous. What you've learned during the past two years has brought you a long way, and I strongly suggest you make use of every bit of that knowledge and experience. By function, I am speaking particularly of your mental habits, your view of the world, and the way you manage your life. This includes your intimate relationships, where we engage in our most potent co-creative acts. Because, thanks to the long-term presence of Uranus in your birth sign, you are now working with so much more influence and your impact on others is so strong, it is essential (for example) that you abandon the usual Pisces trait of trying to convince yourself of things. Then there is the fishy bit about using denial as a psychological escape hatch; and of debating with yourself whether there is such a thing as the truth. Leave that to Sagittarians, who are less troubled by their conscience and are accustomed to carrying around sharp objects. For your purposes, the truth is true and nothing else matters. Therefore, you must be vigilant about when you are pretending. You must know when the gun is loaded; when the tape recorder is on; when you're late and when you're on time. Clarity is essential. To some extent in life it is sometimes necessary to act, to simplify the story, and to reinterpret history. Sometimes, there are those moments when you have to look at someone and lie with a straight face. But you must remember that these are tools in the Sorcerer's kit, and their use has consequences. Thus, you need to know when you're using them, and know precisely why, as if you are actually accountable for your actions. Honesty is in fact the best policy, but to live that out here in 3-D, you have to know where the line is. Therefore, it's a good idea to err on the side of saying what some call 'too much'; of being more direct than is socially acceptable; and of pressing others for their personal truth as well as the facts that comprise it. Deal with the facts and what they suggest. Let your great respect for science, knowledge and technology move from your core right to your surface, and apply both factual tests and intuitive tests to every situation in which you find yourself -- be it business or personal. When they conflict, deal with it consciously. In the end, you are the one who makes up your interpretation of reality, and you have always known this. What changes now is your basis for arriving at that interpretation. Hunches and guesses are no longer enough. Most important, you must be honest with yourself about what you want, and focus your energy on making it happen, and making it real. This is not merely self-serving; as usual, when you benefit, everyone will benefit. But this focus on the positive -- quite a trick for Pisces -- is to protect you and everyone around you from creating what you don't want. When you see this process in action, you will never want to go back to accidental or willy-nilly acts of creation or living without concrete goals. Jupiter's entry into Scorpio later in the year promises to do at least one thing -- make whatever you've got going on become a lot bigger. Therefore, it's up to you to keep it positive. In these and many other ways, 2005 will be a great experiment in finding the edge. I'm confident you'll be spending plenty of time there, and for that reason you have to know exactly where it is, whether your eyes are open or closed. There are a number of new planetary developments you need to track. I will go through them one at a time, and explain what I think the implications are. Since they are my own transits as well, you're getting some of my personal bias in how I manage my own solar chart. First order of business is that Chiron changes signs, a topic I've covered as extensively as possible in the rest of the signs. For Pisces, this enters your extremely sensitive 12th solar house, the sign that is the 12th sign from Pisces -- Aquarius. This is one of your hidden sides, which you may think of as your deep unconscious. For most of humanity this is unknown, and frightening, territory. It is a zone of consciousness where we have no control at all; we can merely read and deal with the signs. To the extent we have the ability to use this force, it is based on letting the pressure off, staying in touch with our fears, and not pushing what surfaces back under water. Neptune, one of the ruling Pisces planets, has been in Aquarius since early 1998, and will remain there until 2012 -- a long transit, to be sure. On Feb. 2, 2005, it reaches the exact midpoint of its 5,118-day journey across this sign. This represents a turning point for you, and more than a symbolic one. You have reached the point where you are closer to the destination than you are to the beginning, the destination being the return of Neptune to your birth sign. Psychologically, I see this halfway mark as a shift in balance that takes some pressure off, coming with a gift of confidence that you can navigate the wild winds and waters of the uncharted 12th house, the most difficult and mysterious of the lot. Now, returning to Chiron, which adds to this story. Chiron focuses the power of Neptune. Borrowing an excellent image from Barbar Hand Clow, think of Neptune as the wide end of a funnel and Chiron as the narrow end. It is a condenser of the mists and fog of Neptune into refined, clear and somewhat radical understanding. One of the unique characteristics of Chiron is that there is always a data trail. Neptune leaves you wondering what you just saw. Chiron leaves a business card and a DVD. With transit, you are going to know more. But with Chiron and Aquarius involved, as I have suggested, you must know how you know. You will see into yourself more deeply, but that seeing carries the responsibility of acting on what you know. At the same time, Saturn makes its transit into Leo, your 6th solar house. That will help. A lot. Saturn's presence there will ground and help materialize the divine knowledge you pick up with Chiron in your 12th; your work will change and will very likely get better, as you focus the vital force of Leo through Saturn. This particular transit is also about taking care of your health. Saturn rewards discipline. You need to do what you know is right for you, whether that's eating the right foods, moving your body, or knowing when to quit. Set up firm structures around your work. You will get the work done in that time. Saturn through your 5th house, Cancer, has been a long and seemingly unfortunate lesson in sacrificing fun -- though there are those Pisces who have used this transit to make fun into a discipline or routine, which if you ask me is a good plan. In any case, this transit, which lasts through July, has toughened you up, it's forced some critical issues to the surface: for example, I would bet a wheelbarrow full of watermelons that you've become a lot less insecure in your dealings with romantic partners. The great reward of Saturn through Cancer -- a transit that has yet to finish -- is that you can now relate to your peers without all the mommy and daddy baggage that you may have been dragging around forever. The 5th is the house of hidden karma, and you can trust that what's been squeezed out during this transit has been significant, and that it will do the trick. It's also emphasized the message that with power and talent comes responsibility. For you in these years, responsibility has involved forging many interlocking relationships with people -- Chiron through Capricorn / 11th house styled -- and you have learned that life is made of light and dark. But I trust that you've learned that on this particular plane of reality, you can serve only one master. PW |
