Annual Total Solar Eclipse: April 8, 2005 (Minor Planets)

In Aries, conjunct Venus, no less. This is like, um, How To Be Your Own Lover. But first, what the fuck is an annular eclipse? I'm glad you asked. That is an 'almost eclipse'. It is a total eclipse, but the Moon is kind of close to the Earth, so it looks little. It is technically perfect, but still does not cover the disk of the Sun. I kind of like this. It preserves some continuity, something we all need at the moment. To be perfectly honest, this eclipse is square Saturn in Cancer. What could this possibly mean? Jupiter is opposite the eclipse, in mid-Libra. Thus, we are in the early moments of Jupiter square Saturn, but don't get worked up about it. It's all a big tease for next year. Yet there is something urgent and necessary about this chart. Something that reminds me of, well, let's see. Let me put it this way. Consider this. Reality is better than fantasy. Fantasy is good; I'm a Pisces, what else would I say. But stick to reality. No matter how much or how little of it you have. Even if you have to put it together in bits. This eclipse is a cardinal grand cross. Speak the words with reverence. Cardinal Grand Cross. The points of the cross are: Sun/Moon/Node/Venus with a little 1992 QB1 for good measure -- these are in Aries. Then, Saturn is in Cancer, gathered around with Varuna, Elatus, Urania, Kassandra and the Starship Enterprise. And featuring on the South Node in Libra are Jupiter, Panacea, and Hebe (so don't be a codependent little dork); and finally, in Capricorn, practically standing alone, is O Mighty Isis, who puts the dozen bits of her brother Osiris back together, but can't find the penis. Remember, find the penis. Ask Chef where you can find it. He knows. The Sun is in Aries, and it's spring. You will be glad you did.
