Penumbral Lunar Eclipse: April 24, 2005 (Minor Planets)The penumbra is the foggy part of the shadow. This is a year of near-miss eclipses. Thank God for miracles. Well, we'll see, but anyway, a penumbral eclipse is not total and not partial, it's a bit less than both, and Raphael's Ephemeris, which is a little snooty, doesn't list these eclipses at all. So according to a bunch of mathematicians in England, there are no lunar eclipses this year; above, you have a chart of a non-lunar-eclipse in all its glory. Everybody else says it's an eclipse though. This is in the early fixed signs -- the Sun and Moon are in early Taurus/Scorpio, square Chiron. This is the thing to watch. In this particular chart, set for The Hague, in Holland, Chiron comes up exactly on the western horizon or 7th house cusp. There is more than a little 'let's get us all together' about this chart, and great benefit from doing so -- Pars Fortuna is right in the picture. Nessus is there too, conjunct Chiron, though for some obviously Freudian or maybe Jungian reason I forgot to draw it into this chart. The Scorpio Moon is conjunct Huya, who you should respect; Hylonome is conjunct Ceres; you should respect them too. But leave your mama's pain behind. You don't need it. It is true that Mean People Suck, but you just have to steer clear of them, and not be afraid to admit the experience you are having. Past love is also meaningful -- but just how much? Let it go, surrender, dislocate. Wake up! You're wide awake. Wide awake. You're not sleeping. |
