Venus Transit of the Sun: June 6, 2012 (Minor Planets)

This is the second in a pair of Venus transits of the Sun. The first of modern times was June 8, 2004. They always come in pairs, like eclipses; they are eclipse events, involving Venus crossing the exact disk of the Sun. There are many planets spanning across late Taurus and early Gemini: Jupiter, Ceres and Vesta in Taurus and the South Node and Venus transiting the Sun in Gemini; the proximity of the Sun and the North Node suggest that an eclipse is in the vicinity; in fact, a lunar eclipse has happened two days earlier. Mercury is also in Gemini, its ruler. The Sun, Venus and Mercury trine Saturn in Libra. Venus and the Sun square Chiron in Pisces. The Moon conjunct Pluto in Capricorn makes an exact square to Uranus conjunct Pallas in Aries. Chiron opposes Mars in Virgo. Saturn quintiles the Moon and Pluto. The Sun and Virgo quintiles Pallas. Venus, Saturn, Neptune, Pluto and Juno are all retrograde.
