Arms Against War : a group asking that all anti-war/peace groups and individuals who oppose the war in Iraq make a clear identifiable statement by wearing a white piece of fabric around their arms until the war ends. The white armband (home-made and free to all) is a way of saying "I WANT AN END TO THE WAR IN IRAQ"

Democracy Rising : Democracy Rising, a founding member of United for Peace and Justice, has been involved in opposing the war in Iraq from the beginning. The Democracy Rising peace project seeks to bring the troops home and end the occupation of Iraq by empowering activists so they cannot be ignored by decision makers in Washington, DC.

Democracy Rising is a national effort based in Washington, DC. Being inside-the-beltway gives the project a daily focus on the decision makers - in Congress and the Bush Administration - who are waging the illegal war and occupation of Iraq. Through people power - grass roots pressure - we will push Congress and President to end the occupation and bring the troops home.
