Dear Friend and Reader:
Planet Waves Radio will be webcast tonight, Tuesday, June 9 at 10 PM ET on
Blog Talk Radio. Today Mercury is aspecting the Aquarius alignment (read more about this aspect in
Planet Waves Daily). How is this alignment affecting your life? What changes do you see in your personal world, and in the larger world? Are they becoming more similar, or more different? Let's talk about some of these themes tonight. In the second half of the program I'll be taking some listeners' questions about your personal astrology -- if you want to get on the air, please call in early!
I've also been wrapping up my series on healing guilt and shame in
Book of Blue. This recent group of articles has focused on how we can unhook some of the emotional hang-ups that come from having had so many negative experiences; and in the last installment, calls for a sexual revolution. This topic is also open for discussion on tonight's program.
Please tune in tonight at 10 pm ET.
Yours & truly,
By ERIC FRANCIS
Aries (March 20-April 19)
You seem to be competing with yourself, or dealing with having a double purpose. It's possible to express two reasons for being, but they need to have something in common rather than being at odds with one another. One of them feels a bit odd or out of place for you, and another feels more inherently your own. The first thing they have in common is you; remember that you are one whole human and not a collection of parts.

Taurus (April 19- May 20)
Now that you know who you are, remember who you are not. You've learned both lately, and more to the point you've learned there is a meaningful difference between the two. Many recent unusual experiences have demonstrated one thing at least, which is that you have options for how you apply your personality to any given situation. Beneath the level of the face you show the world, there is the truth of who you are. Stay in touch with that person.

Gemini (May 20- June 21)
Your sign is associated with things that happen locally, close to home, and amongst neighbors. But you are being called to more distant and exotic places and ideas. You are being summoned beyond anything that is familiar, and you may be feeling like you need to stretch yourself free from the life that you know. Though daunting at times, these moments don't come often, and by that I mean a few times in a lifetime. This is one of them.

Cancer (June 21- July 22)
The Sun is about to enter your birth sign, and when it does, it will arrive in an exact conjunction with a powerful asteroid called Vesta. This is a reminder to shamelessly claim your purpose. Part of that involves being of service to others, rather than the prevailing attitude of making a buck or having a good time. To do this well, you will need to take better care of yourself than anyone you know.

Leo (July 22- Aug. 23)
Two important professional goals are coming together after what has seemed like a long delay. However, what you're seeing are the benefits of leadership, and the truth that leadership (whatever it may be in the outer world) is a process of balancing male and female energies. Your success depends on a close collaborator of the opposite sex -- and also on making sure that you can get both halves of your brain working together.

Virgo (Aug. 23- Sep. 22)
Those born under the sign Virgo are blessed with a lifetime of helping others, which by the way is about as good as you can hope for on our planet; the other option is hurting people, or ignoring them. Looked at in those terms, the upcoming public service project that's written in the stars presents you with an excellent opportunity to be yourself, to become yourself and moreover to understand yourself. Give it all you've got, and a little more. You have plenty.

Libra (Sep. 22 - Oct. 23)
Your chart looks like you've cleared clutter, people and bad ideas out of your art studio; and then like you had to rest for three weeks before you could consider a solid idea. Now, your space and your mind are open. If you don't have an art studio, I suggest you make one, be it in an extra room or the corner of your kitchen. A digital camera will suffice, but I have one word of photographic advice: use natural light.

Scorpio (Oct. 23- Nov. 22)
When your mind is in overload, it's difficult to know what you're feeling. Gradually the pressure is coming off, and with the Sun soon to arrive in your empathic water sign Cancer, you will have a better sense of your emotional reality. Something profound is happening in this process: you are clarifying some deep family material. When this is over, you'll wonder how you could miss something so obvious. For now, be glad that you're noticing.

Sagittarius (Nov. 22 - Dec. 22)
Don't work too hard to convince anyone of anything -- what is obvious should be obvious to everyone. Therefore if you cannot explain something, such as what you need, in a few sentences, try explaining it to someone else, or make sure you actually understand. The good news is, I think there's someone listening, and this person may have a better grasp on what you're saying than you do. So don't get proud; get feedback.

Capricorn (Dec. 22- Jan. 20)
Lately all the enlightened types are getting high off of the idea that our decisions are how we got where we are. What I don't hear being discussed are the values that inform those decisions, and that's the issue you need to watch. It might help to look back five or 10 years and see what values informed your previous decisions. Once you get started on this investigation, it's going to become really interesting and an authentic source of power; that's what knowledge is.

Aquarius (Jan. 20- Feb. 19)
Okay you have work to do, and you know it. I'm not talking about inner work, I'm talking about service to the world. Aquarius is the most humanitarian sign, and you are about to be summoned to fulfill your astrological destiny. I suggest that you volunteer for kitchen duty, whatever mission you're being called upon to do. The more you cook food for other people, the happier you will be. You won't even notice that you're saving the world.

Pisces (Feb. 19- March 20)
I'll be gosh darned but I think this is the biggest moment of clarity of your entire life. It's just begun recently and it's not ending anytime soon, so that means you will have plenty of time to act on your astonishing revelations about the nature of your existence. What you have now is the ability to see what is invisible; to remember your dreams in detail; and to experience fantasy so powerful that it manifests reality. Therefore be conscious of what you think.
