Dear Friend and Reader:

After I sent out the note on Friday saying I'd be delaying the edition, someone wrote back and said, "Why don't you make it a whole week?"

I thought about it for a second, deeply, and meaningfully, and could not come up with one reason why not. It's been a while since I've taken a real break - the last one was in May 2005.

So that's what I'm going to do -- except (please keep reading) I will be back later today or tomorrow with the Cancer Birthday Report part 2 (keeping the Planet Waves tradition of birthday reports in our rare "off" weeks), and I will post a shorter version of the weekly horoscope to the subscriber homepage.

The horoscopes will NOT be emailed this week. So, to get the shorter edition (me standing in for myself, as it were) beginning a little later today, you're going to need to visit the subscriber homepage at:

This will apply to the edition that would have gone out before the weekend (June 30 edition, which will become the July 3 edition) and the Friday, July 7 edition (short horoscope, birthday report). On Monday July 10, I'll return with a Monday edition.

For those who are curious about the Eros area, here are some new developments. There is now a community bulletin board as well as a live discussion area. This will help close the gap in the time zones. Meetings are also happening at 9 am and 9 pm Eastern Time; hopefully everyone who wants to can get to one of those.

Beginning in August, this section will feature the Eroscope monthly horoscope. Set in 2011, and following the astrology five years in the future after all the outer planets have changed signs, Eroscope embarks on a fantasy adventure of your life when you've been freed of your personal inhibitions and unwanted commitments. Between you and me, I have a little something in my chart that grants some perspective on the 'five year' time frame. There is a kind of five year star, and I have it exactly conjunct the strongest planet in my chart. So I'll be putting that little gift to work for you, and playing with some fun and daring ideas.
