Daily Horoscope for May 2, 2006

This is the Jonathan Cainer daily horoscope. Jonathan is away this week, and I'll be covering for him through Saturday's edition.

THERE are some days when the Moon makes a lot of aspects to planets, and other days when it makes not so many. Today 'Luna' is impressively busy, making aspects to Mars, Uranus, Jupiter, Chiron, Juno and Vesta. Here is the trick. Keep guiding yourself in a positive direction. Let nothing pull you into a negative path such as anger, resentment, or jealousy. Pretend it's a game. When you feel one of those emotions, choose to feel something else. After a while it will get easier - and the energy will build and take you somewhere new. This will happen no matter what, and is why we need to keep it loving.

ARIES (Mar 21 - Apr 20)
Here is something to remember. When many people begin to awaken to their own strength, beauty, and yes, power, the experience can be unsettling or scary. Others around you will feel who you are. They will notice you, and you notice them being aware. You're not usually the type to crawl under a rock, and you have no objection to being 'hot'. But when you start to get the feeling that you're being noticed and acknowledged for something much deeper and more beautiful, you may need to keep your composure, take a breath, and just let the world feel you. 

TAURUS (Apr 21 - May 21)
There are times when you feel foolish for trying so hard to put your feelings into words. It's so difficult to get those words right. There's nothing silly about making the effort; indeed it is such actions that have been responsible for many breakthroughs throughout history. Today's psychic climate may overwhelm you with the desire to express yourself, to speak the unspeakable, to rage and make the contents of your heart known to the world. You are free to give this to yourself. If your hand trembles as you hold the pen, or your fingers shake as you type, keep going, one word at a time.

GEMINI (May 22 – Jun 22)
You may feel the creeping tide of pressure urging you to action. You may sense that you know what you want, so you had better go for it - now. If you can sit with this feeling, and be aware with all your senses and all the different forms of your intelligence, you'll notice that the information keeps coming. It's not any special fact or idea that you need, but rather the deeper source that's informing you of everything you need to know. What you're experiencing and learning is leading somewhere. Pay attention: try not to draw conclusions. A revelation you're not quite expecting is at hand.

CANCER (Jun 23 - Jul 23)
Today's conjunction of the Moon and Mars would normally be an astrological warning sign, but a rare combination of factors is saying you can come on at full strength. You can take charge, put your plan into action, and most of all, feel that passionate fire radiating from inside you. Just be gentle, clear, and grateful for the people around you. If you can muster those qualities, people will be happy to be supportive any way they can. Just remember, people are responding to what is in truth a kind of spiritual devotion that they don't quite understand, but are truly pleased to encounter.

LEO (Jul 24 - Aug 23)
You are truly in tune with an inner world that most people deny. Leo is often regarded as an outgoing sign that radiates heat and light like the Sun. The other side of Leo is a deeply instinctual quality that pours through your emotions and guides your every step - or at times, leads you to hesitate in ways even you cannot explain. Today, that intuitive sphere is pulsing with energy, with messages, and with a solution to a certain problem you had not even given words to. The little space in your heart that once seemed the most timid is about to become the boldest it's been in a long time.

VIRGO (Aug 24 - Sep 23)
By now you've grown accustomed to the reality that the only solid ground beneath your feet is your faith. Many things have changed in your life recently; so much that seemed so certain has gone through a long phase of intense questioning. But this week you have access to some answers to issues that have, indeed, squirmed around your heart and soul for ages. You have the gift of being able to peer through the mysteries, including a challenging one involving a partnership or joint financial situation that finally begins to show some of the results you've been waiting for.

LIBRA (Sep 24 - Oct 23)
Are you surprised when people respond to your leadership? I suspect so. You're keenly aware of your faults and you own up to your self-doubt. Unlike most people, you know you're a story with two sides. I suggest you conveniently ignore that fact today, and let your intentions on a certain important matter be known. Your reputation for impeccable honesty precedes you. Your sincerity and vulnerability will touch those in positions of power, as it will those who are your peers and who are in your life to help you. Speak with confidence, because your goal is worthy and will help everyone.

SCORPIO (Oct 24 - Nov 22)
Okay, nobody faint - you're an intense person. Now that we've got that detail out of the way, be aware this is one of those days you're going to be your most Scorpionic, dauntless, bold and juicy. You're free to push it a little, for your own pleasure and ambition, as much as to give all the in-the-box types a run for their fun. If you start to verge on irrational, dive into the divine madness that's the source of all true creativity, and which everyone wishes they had the guts to embrace. What this world needs is courage, and there's no better way to learn or teach than by example.

SAGITTARIUS (Nov 23 - Dec 21)
Let it go - get into the feeling. The astrology pulse says it's hot, emotional, watery, assertive and nourishing. You may notice you're a little edgy, like the risks seem more real than you typically imagine they are. And like there's a current of anger you may be able to detect beneath the surface. Then comes a meeting, an encounter or exchange with someone you happen to be close to now. The energy is familiar, but there seems to be a need to go someplace else; to experience something new. When you take action, make contact with the love beneath it first.

CAPRICORN (Dec 22 - Jan 20)
Perhaps someone in your life feels too hot to handle. What if you're compelled to try anyway? Well, there's always a risk involved, and you may not be sure that you want to get involved. It does seem likely that involvement will deepen. There is only one reality test you need to apply, which is: does the situation feel loving? Is there true feeling and compassion being expressed? If there is, those feelings are likely to grow. If not, you may want to ask whether you really want more of what you've got so far. You do have a choice in this matter, but you need to be scrupulously honest with yourself.

AQUARIUS (Jan 21 - Feb 19)
If you need to, put all your energy into productivity today. You may feel as if life should be offering you many better things. But if they're not there, dive into your ambitions and continue your long-term project of creating the life-experience that you want. You know this is possible because you've watched yourself do it, in small accomplishments, over the past few months. Each seemingly minor success has been a testament to the fact that so much else is possible. And if you set aside petty concerns and any lingering hurts, you will go a long way today toward manifesting your vision.

PISCES (Feb 20 - Mar 20)
This is a day to live on a dare, that no matter what you're going to remember you're alive and on an adventure. You have no need to pretend, no need to make up fantasies. The slightly dangerous feeling in the air is the same energy that's calling you to express something deep, take a risk or yield to your passion. Remember, you are the initiator. You are the one who decides what feels right, and you're the one who says it's okay to live your life. If this feels a little rebellious, all the better. You're a Pisces, and pleasure is the single most important attribute of your sign.
