Jonathan Cainer Daily Horoscope
for Friday, Sept. 30, 2005
Introduction. The days before eclipses can be pensive and stressful, and many people who are aware of them wait impatiently to see what will happen. But what do you want to happen? Eclipses are moments when the power of manifestation is enhanced greatly. Take some of the power into your own hands and, working gently, begin to shape your world your way. This process may start with a single decision.
NOTE: Jonathan's write-ups on the eclipse appear Friday night on Cainer.com, in his week-ahead forecasts.
ARIES (Mar 21 - Apr 20)
Events of the next few days will peel back the mystery of a particular relationship, and reveal what was going on under the surface all along. At the very least, it's interesting when this happens, but you can do better. This situation requires you to be unusually honest with yourself, which will allow you to be truthful with another person. If you're concerned about the negative repercussions of reality, or of revealing your true self, remember that relationships suffer more from what is not said than what is spoken openly.
TAURUS (Apr 21 - May 21)
You need to ensure that someone who you care for and feel strongly about feels included in your life, rather than possessed or absorbed by it. 'Included' means on their terms - not just your own. Indeed, their perception of you may be nothing like your own self-view. There's still enough pressure on the situation that it may take a minor crisis to reveal the nature of the imbalance, but you can view this as entirely positive because it will have a positive result. When you look back, I hope you'll laugh at the extent to which a stand-off was passing for a relationship.
GEMINI (May 22 – Jun 22)
It's as if one thing is happening to the world, and another thing entirely is happening to you. But the changes both on the planetary level and the personal are facilitating a real opportunity for you. The Universe has some surprises in store for you, but rather than anticipate what's coming next, the best place to hang out is the 'here and now'. Heaven knows, you've hardly ever seen anything more intriguing unfold before your eyes, and though you may not understand your role in the current developments, you can be sure that you have one.
CANCER (Jun 23 - Jul 23)
You may not be able to list all the reasons you feel safe, but beneath your minor worries and annoying concerns, you know your world is stable and secure. So, I want to suggest going for an improvement far beyond the basics, and spending some time this weekend concentrating on your real needs. Identify them and take some tangible action toward fulfilling them. Give the lower-order concerns a rest. Assume you have enough to eat and a roof over your head. Finish breakfast, walk out the door, and experiment with what it might feel like to be free.
LEO (Jul 24 - Aug 23)
It's been said that if we have the power to change nothing else, we can change our minds. By change, I don't mean waffle around; rather, I mean to adapt to necessity, to learn quickly, and to go from a less creative state to a more creative one. Right now, your intelligence is in very high demand; you are counting on it, and so is someone else. You have far more in the way of resources than you may imagine or than your formal training may indicate, and part of what you discover as the current developments unfold is just how precious your knowledge really is.
VIRGO (Aug 24 - Sep 23)
There's really no true gain by another person's loss, but too often the world lives like it's the only profit that exists. What we don't usually notice is the more we feel we have, the more of ourselves we can give to others, at no loss to ourselves. You're being granted an opportunity to see life in a way where everyone gains. Such a daring perspective is rooted in a view of yourself which is different to the one you learnt as a child. To the extent that you think of your existence as an entirely positive force, you will get to live in the world as if it's true.
LIBRA (Sep 24 - Oct 23)
An approaching eclipse is like a storm moving in. The energy system brings a combination of cleansing, destruction, awareness and liberation. Yet because you respect these things so deeply, indeed, because you so often welcome them, you can trust them now. Yet as regards a personal relationship that seems to have grown resistant to progress, I suggest this not influence your thinking one way or another. It's true that relationships are important, but there are times when they are overshadowed by the deepest needs of your inner growth. Now is one such time.
SCORPIO (Oct 24 - Nov 22)
One fact of life on this Earth is that many places you go, people are afraid of one another. This fear, on one hand, is responsible for so much loneliness; on the other, it is often exploited into war. You're likely to be getting some lessons in isolation or solitude now, which may be affecting you even if you're in a relationship. What you're experiencing is the result of your psychic orientation - but that has a deeper purpose, since something is forming in you that cannot be touched by human hands, or seen by human eyes. But soon, its day will come.
SAGITTARIUS (Nov 23 - Dec 21)
Your activities have developed to the point where you're involved with many people on many different levels - so much so, that, at times, it all feels out of control. You've drawn a wild diversity of influences toward you. Now you've reached a moment of sorting out the sheep from the goats. You also can't help everyone in your life as you want to - but there are some for whom you've been an entirely positive influence. And some, as you've seen, are more capable of independence than others. Notice who is who, and respond appropriately.
CAPRICORN (Dec 22 - Jan 20)
Monday's eclipse occurs in one of the most powerful angles of your solar chart, where you strive for your greatest achievements and well-deserved recognition. Because the sign Libra is involved, the emphasis is on doing things well rather than on doing them in a big way. Still, there can be no doubt that you feel a calling to reach a new level in life - or you'll get there. Get set for a wild ride during the next five or six days, and more than a few surprises during the next few months. Be a professional: let every success be a lesson, and every failure an opportunity.
AQUARIUS (Jan 21 - Feb 19)
Some claim they don't have a religion or believe in God, which makes about as much sense as pretending not to breathe. Everyone has a personal religion of one kind or another, and we all have a relationship to the vast unknown. Everyone seeks guidance from a higher source when they need it. Yet often we get trapped in our beliefs, sometimes to the point where our personal truth can't find its way to our minds. Monday's eclipse is designed to free you from any idea or mystical notion that does not work for you - and to make room for what really does.
PISCES (Feb 20 - Mar 20)
Everything is negotiable - everything. And, most of the time, everyone. For your part, you've been more than negotiable, and have for a long time existed entirely within the values of people and entities that have seemed far more powerful than yourself. But the balance of power has changed in your life, and you are about to have proof. The way you apply this power is through seeking agreements, and in the process of doing that, stating clearly what you need. People will either meet your needs - or not. You'll have your answer quickly, so don't waste time waiting.
