Moonshine Horoscopes -- Sagittarius New Moon Edition

Monday, Dec. 2, is the Sagittarius New Moon, exact just before 7:22 pm EST. (View full chart here). Genevieve Hathaway has interpreted this lunation for each of the 12 Moon signs in her horoscopes below.
The Sagittarius New Moon, which like all New Moons is a conjunction of the Sun and Moon, is taking place in early-mid Sagittarius. New Moons generally signify harmony between the conscious will (Sun) and our unconscious/intuitive/emotional selves (Moon). In Sagittarius, this takes on a particularly ‘cosmic’ or ‘spiritual big picture’ flavor.
However, this New Moon is also square Chiron (and more loosely Neptune) in Pisces, and Pallas in Virgo -- making a T-square. This will translate into some tension, though the planets involved share some common ground.
Both Pallas and Chiron were warriors, strategists and advocates in mythology. Pallas gave up some of her femininity in being a warrior and defender; Chiron gave up some of his masculinity in being a peaceful warrior and healer. So while their namesake planets are polarized in opposition to each other, there’s a meeting place. One theme of this New Moon is: resolving seemingly opposing or conflicting approaches.
The sense of polarization is enhanced by the Sun and Moon conjunct the Great Attractor: a deep-space point rushing away from us as fast as it’s pulling our galaxy toward it. But if everything is actually moving in the same direction at the same time, is that truly tension if you look at it from a broader perspective?
Note that Uranus in Aries is making a fire trine (flowing energy) to the New Moon. Unseen influences on Dec. 2 might surprise you. Can you be open to them during this next lunar cycle and the Sun’s trip through Sagittarius?
